"Shakellia" -

New Hip-Hop "Rap" Recording Artist _________________________________________________

“Shakellia”, born in Tuscaloosa, Ala., but raised in Saginaw, Mi., by her Aunt Marie Hall and Uncle Rev. Nick Hall. They kept her, 2 sisters, Nikki Davis, Tyesha Davis, and 2 brothers, Willie Davis and Tavaris Davis, in the church every day of the week.  She went from singing in the church choir to “rapping” at the age of 15 with best friends Kanada Reed and Bryna Foreman and they together formed a rap group called “3 The Hard Way”, “3 Sweet” and “Kon-Fuzion”. They went on to win many talent shows and were able to record a couple songs in the studio called Ghetto Records in Saginaw.  The group eventually went their separate ways, but still remain close friends today.

“Shakellia” started going to Davenport University where she majored in nursing.  She is a certified nursing assistant.  During that time, she became the mother of Amasia Gaines (Lil Mazy) 8 years old, and Dontasia Gaines (Tae-Tae) 6 years old, also known as her “miracle” baby she says.  Dontasia was destined to be here, but at birth was diagnosed with mixed tone cerebral palsy, but slowly making good progress. Through it all, “Shakellia” is still standing strong.

“Shakellia” was at one time struggling, but things eventually came through for her. She now stays in Saginaw Township, a single mother of two and doing very well.  So, now she is back on her grind and back at it again in the rap industry. She entered a TALENT PREMIERE SHOWCASE sponsored by Astro/Genesis Records in Detroit, Mi where she performed and modeled and did a great performance and was picked as one of their “winners” for that Detroit show and was  offered a recording contract to sign with the record label as one of their “new” up and coming recording artists.

She says … “Special thanks to my favorite cousin, Lithenie Colley, and uncle, Allen Colley, Perry Colley, Bobby Mejia, R.I.P American soldier, Bobby Mejia Jr.who died fighting for our country in Iraq. Special friends Kiawanna Drain, Bob V. and son Lil Bobby, Tanisha Henix, Diamond, Marcus Parker, Michelle Williams, Gaines Family. To all my cousins, nieces, and nephews, you know who you are, much love and thank you for supporting me at this time. R.I.P to my mother, Shirley Ann Davis whoms he loves so dear”.
