Jennifer Deckelman Performing Arts Studio for their support as a professional "judge" in our 2007 Talent Premiere Showcases!  Jennifer Deckelman, the owner of the JENNIFER DECKELMAN PERFORMING ARTS STUDIO is an accomplished entertainer and professional coach, whose own training spans over thirty years in theatre, voice, dance and commercial art.  She held the title of Miss Weber County, Miss Utah State Fair and Miss Ogden.  She was runner up to Miss Utah for Miss America representing her home town of Ogden Utah.  Jennifer was the recipient of  A Theatre Arts Scholarship to Weber State University, The University of Utah, and Utah State University after winning best actress at Districts and State her senior year of high school.

She studied in L.A. for 10 years with vocal coach Irene Blades and dance coach Bill Bartlett (choreographer for TV commercials including Dr. Pepper, Crystal Lite, and specialty shows for Disneyland and Disney World).  She studied tap with Gregory Hines and Savion Glover, ballet with Gerald Arpino (from the Robert Joffrey Ballet), and Jazz with Ronnie DeMarco, (choreographer for Dean Martin and the Dean Martin  Show). Jennifer completed advanced study in theatre arts at the famous Pasadena Playhouse in Pasadena, California after attending Weber State University.

Her diverse professional career has taken her from a John Powers model to a featured singer, with her own one-woman shows on the Pacific Far East Cruise Lines.  As a professional singer, Jennifer toured as Jennie Hall with the Mark V, and Jennifer Day with The Scamps, a jazz trio.  In the late 60’s, she recorded her record Reach For Rainbows in New York with Bang Records.  Recently, she recorded back up vocals for C.D. Morris, and is the featured singer for producer Linda Purdy of Mountain Creek Records, on the 2004 “Songs for You & Me” series called “Mostly Blues” on Mountain Creek Records at www.mountaincreekrecords.com

Jennifer Deckelman has a profound understanding of all aspects of the entertainment industry.  She has been teaching and coaching singers, actors, and dancers in Pinellas County for 20 years in the State of Florida.  She is the owner of Jennifer Deckelman Performing Arts Studio and director of Destination Star, a touring and competition team.  She has trained and coached performers who have gone on to Radio City Rockettes, Radio Disney, and the American Music and Dance Academy in NY.  known as AMDA.   Her students have come from varying abilities, backgrounds, and locations; she taught the Osmonds and Brook Hogan.   She upholds the vision and desire to inspire performing artists of all ages.  She has served as a "judge" for the "exciting" 2007 ASTRO/GENESIS RECORDS TALENT PREMIERE SHOWCASES.
